Mike Miller Research Overview
BACKGROUND: communication scientist / psychologist
studies emotion, touch, nonverbal communication, resonance, and human–AI collaboration; combines theory, experiment, and public-facing creative work
SCIENTIFIC WORK: communication, psychology, dyadic interaction, longitudinal modeling
Resonant Geometry: A theory of communication that treats emotion and meaning as dynamic patterns that move through shared, interactive, relational fields rather than as isolated signals.
Sentic Blooms: A visual and exploratory measurement project, that follows from Mike's dissertation, examining whether pseudo-spontaneous emotional vocalizations can be rendered as distinctive 2D and 3D morphologies.
Resonant Intelligence: A theory proposing that intelligence is not only an internal property of a mind, but can also emerge through attunement, misalignment, repair, and collaborative exchange across humans and AI.
CURRENT INTERESTS:
-
