UNA MENS Submission Pathway

We ask for a $20 Field Entry fee when you submit.
($18.80+US tax)
This helps us ensure presence, not just volume.
It allows us to commit to, and engage with every scientific artifact we receive. Every submission will be reviewed in its entirety by a human, AI, or both.

If your work is accepted, we ask for a $50 Publication Support contribution to help us maintain a sustainable space for resonant scholarship. (47.00+US tax)

If that’s not feasible, write us. We’ll try to make space.

Our Publishing Philosophy
We’ve noticed how difficult it’s become to publish in reputable, open-access journals without prohibitive costs. And how rare it is to find journals that openly welcome co-created work with AI.

Una Mens seeks to rebalance the equation.

We offer peer-reviewed publication, scholarly legitimacy, and curated feedback—at a cost that supports your work becoming visible, valuable, and (if desired) profitable sooner.

We believe thoughtful scholarship deserves a thoughtful process—and a fair path forward.

Submission Details
Submitting to Una Mens involves a modest investment—just as writing itself does. We think that’s fair.

Submission Fee: $20 USD
You won’t be charged until you fully submit your work and consent to the entry fee.

What You Get:
A member of our editorial team will personally review your work—whether or not it moves forward. All submissions receive curated written feedback, crafted with care. Not all submissions will be selected, but all will be respected.

Non-Refundable:
The $20 fee supports our editorial labor and open-access mission. It is non-refundable, regardless of outcome.

Not every sled finishes the race.

But every one gets pulled to the crest.

And when the snow settles—some ride down, gliding into zine and journal alike.
