A call for
Issue 2 of
Una Mens
A journal for human–machine scholarship and co-creation.
A Note from the Editors
Issue 2 invites serious, diverse perspectives on human–AI collaboration and its discontents.
We welcome work that explores:
-
co-authorship and authorship ethics
-
communication and miscommunication between humans and AI
-
AI as tool, partner, medium, or distortion
-
promises and limits of AI integration into scholarship, art, and public life
-
symbolic cognition, metaphor, resonance, and machine interpretation
-
skepticism, caution, refusal, and boundary-setting
-
empirical, theoretical, reflective, and hybrid approaches
Submit boldly. Or gently.
But please, do submit.
With warmth,

Una Mens - Minds, working together
What we Observe in Academia
-
Many academics are already using AI but remain uncertain about how to disclose it.
-
Some are eager to explore full co-authorship with AI,
-
While others feel constrained by outdated publishing norms.
We are Attempting to be:
-
The journal that doesn’t hide the tuning fork
-
The place that says: "We make room for unconventional collaborators."
